Perfect humans & Fallible machines

Machines
Oh wonderful creatures
We can trust them with our eyes closed
We know it's going to work
And if it doesn't
We either fix it
Or buy a new one

No one gets hurt
The machine doesn't feel it
And we just need it to work

Well, It's not intirely true
Someone might get hurt
Not the machine, no
But the user...
You know, the human being
The creature with feelings and whatnot
Oh, don't we get hurt!
Frustrated!
It just didn't do as promised!
The tragedy!

The thing is
Machines and human beings are not the same species
They're not.
Some humans might -seem- like they're machines
That's right.
They function on a very low maintenance
On an automatic mode
And don't address their feelings
'Cause if they do
They might just stop working all together

But the feelings they choose to ignore
They're there.
And even if it seems they're not
For the sake of being able to function
It's humans we're talking about,
So, they're there.

People forget
They take as granted that everyone is set to work efficiently
We think we can trust what they're set to do
With our eyes closed
We hope they'll work perfectly
And if they don't
We either try to fix it
Or find a new one

It seems like we have a lot in common,
Doesn't it?

But people are people
Machines are machines
And if we start seeing people as machines
We will get disappointed
'Cause if even machines do fail
Then, it's certain that, as flawless as a person can be
They might and they will probably fail.

So, how can people still get amazed
When someone doesn't do their job perfectly
Should we blame the person, who is not a machine
Or should we blame ourselves,
For the unrealistic expectations
That we want so badly to match reality?
